July 7

According to journalist Alex Jones, on July 29th, Fox News' Day Side program announced that the assumed mastermind of both bombings was Haroon Rashid Aswat, an MI6 agent.

There is a lot of speculation, especially on the Internet, that the bombings were not the work of Islamic extremists at all, but a "false flag" operation by the British and US Security forces. According to
Jeff Rense, David Shayler, the ex MI5 agent, has suggested that the 7/7 bombings were staged for political reasons, and bear striking similarities to the September 11, 2001 attacks in the US. "It's amazing how many aspects of the two events are so similar," Shayler said. "First, we learn about the training exercises going on here just like 9/11. Next, they release suspicious evidence left behind by the culprits as well as quickly releasing identifying pictures of the suspects just like they did after 9/11."

The parallels are legion, including the fact that Downing Street has again
ruled out a public inquiry into the July 7 bombings, despite fresh calls from survivors and relatives of victims. Bush Co fiercely fought the formation of, and work of, the 9-11 Commission.

The best you can say about this is that perhaps both governments fear their monumental incompetence would be exposed by an honest inquiry, and an outraged public would demand accountability. The worst you can probably say is that both governments are actively participating in the terrorist attacks in order to keep the public terrified and compliant while darker ends are accomplished.
